Request exceptions to University academic policies, including Liberal Education requirements - Drop a class after the deadline
- Request a tuition refund
- Change grade basis after the deadline
- Request a waiver of the late registration fee
Tuition Refund Petitions must be received no later than August 31 of the academic year for which a tuition refund is requested.
- University academic policy or Liberal Education requirement exception documentation:
- Course syllabus, or
- Any other material to support rationale
- Petitions for the Liberal Education Program require the recommendation of a professional advisor from a collegiate advising office
- Registration exception documentation
- Email exchanges between faculty and student or advisor; date/time stamp of the emails need to be viewable in screenshots
- Letter(s) of support from the department chair or advisor
- Tuition refund exception documentation
- Military activation orders, or
- Obituary, copy of death certificate, or police report, or
- Medical Condition Verification form or letter from a medical provider
- Late registration fee exception documentation
- A written statement on University letterhead, that is signed by a University staff or faculty member to verify their role in your late registration
