Some classes may require permission from an instructor or department before you can register. You may need permission if:
- You have not completed course prerequisites.
- You want to register for a closed class or a class that has reserved seats.
- The class states instructor or department consent is required.
- You want to register during the time period when permission is required.

Permission is obtained from the instructor or department.
Register with permission
Once you have permission, go to your shopping cart and register as normal. Permission is granted through the registration system and will be waiting for you. Be sure to register for the exact class for which you were given permission.
If you are on a waitlist and receive permission for the class, drop yourself from the waitlist, then reregister and the system will let you in.
