UMD Multi-Institution Application

An agreement exists among the campuses of the University of Minnesota to allow students to temporarily attend another campus during an academic year without losing their status at their home campus.

  • Before registering as a Multi-Institution student, review your academic plan with your advisor.
  • Submit your application one month prior to the start of registration.
  • If you have reciprocity on your home campus, this tuition rate does not automatically transfer to the host campus. You must apply for reciprocity through your state to get reciprocity at the host campus.

  • You are planning to transfer to a degree program at another campus. Then you need to complete an Application for Undergraduate Change of Campus instead of this form.
  • This application is not meant to take the place of an agreement already in place between graduate and professional colleges (see your college office for information on graduate and professional agreements).
