Satisfactory Academic Progress Appeal

You may appeal your financial aid satisfactory academic progress (SAP) status if extenuating circumstances interfered with your ability to meet SAP standards. You must provide appropriate supporting documentation for your extenuating circumstances.

Use this form if...

  • You could not reach your SAP standards due to the following, but not limited to, extenuating circumstances:
    • divorce
    • serious injury or illness 
    • personal issues 
    • death of a family member
    • documented disability
    • reinstatement after academic suspension
    • a return to school after an extended period of absence

Next steps

Within 15 business days after your appeal is received, you will be notified by email as to whether your appeal was approved or denied. If your appeal can not be completed within 15 business days, you will receive an email with more information.
