Minnesota-Manitoba Reciprocity Application

This form collects information used to determine if you qualify for tuition equivalent to MN in-state tuition. 

Apply at least one month before the start of the term if you are seeking Minnesota-Manitoba Reciprocity.  It is to your advantage to apply early so you won’t be assessed tuition at the non-resident rate for that term.

The final deadline is the last day of classes at the University of Minnesota Duluth for the term benefits are needed. If you wish to participate in the program for the entire academic year, your application must be received by the last day of scheduled classes in the fall term. Applications will not be processed retroactively.

  • If you are a dependent student, you will need to provide information and upload documentation from your parent(s) / guardian to verify they are a resident(s) of Manitoba
  • If you are an independent student, you will need to provide information and documentation to verify you are a resident of Manitoba

  • You are a dependent student and at least one of your parents/guardians are a Manitoba resident
  • You are an independent student and a resident of Manitoba

Don't use this form if...

  • You are a dependent student and neither of your parents are a Manitoba resident
  • You are an independent student, and you are not a Manitoba resident
