  • a variety of course options, including day, evening, and online classes are available throughout the year
  • University of Minnesota certificate programs are not eligible for federal financial aid programs. Estimate the cost of your certificate program

Starting your certificate program

On the University Catalogs website, select the appropriate "Undergraduate credit certificate" or "Post-baccalaureate credit certificate/licensure/endorsement" program type to find information about available certificate programs and their requirements.

Faculty lists are available for some certificate programs in the University Catalog.

Submit the Application for Undergraduate and Post-Baccalaureate UMD Certificate Programs.

Send official transcripts to University of Minnesota Duluth.

After UMD application confirmation set up your University Account. This allows UMD staff to work with you by secure email. You will need to enter your Student ID, birth date, and create a personal password. Social Security Number is NOT required.

Mon, Mar 25, 2019 Second half semester last day to drop a class with a 100% refund, no approval required
Fri, Mar 29, 2019 Second half semester, last day to use course permission numbers to add classes via MyU
Mon, Apr 1, 2019 Fall registration begins by appointment (queued) for currently and previously enrolled students
